How many poems will be in the book?
If our funding is successful, our intention is to have between 180 and 200 poems.

How many illustrations will there be? I only see three on the Kickstarter page.
It’s true that we’re only sharing three illustrations, and we’ve used the heck out of them. In reality, there’s a lot that goes into the art. Our artist spends around a full day illustrating each one of the high-resolution art pieces (by hand) and then we digitally scan and clean up the images. We are compensating her for her time. In addition, we are retaining the copyright for the images for future use. Maybe we’ll put together a larger book, or a website, or even an app. Owning imagery can be very expensive. Our goal was to have 25 beautiful full page spreads. Based on hitting our full funding goal, we will have closer to 50. If we exceed our goal, our intention is to invest even more in the artwork. The single largest cost of this project is the art and copyright for the artwork.

Why are you self publishing this book? Have you tried working with a professional publisher?
We’re open to it, but really loved the concept of being able to create something pure, without intervention on the artistic process. Once we have a finished book and have satisfied the Kickstarter preorders, we have discussed whether we will continue to self-promote the book or pursue a relationship with a publisher.

Did you really write 180 poems? Can I see them?
Yes and No. Yes, I wrote over 200 poems… actually, at last count 250 poems… but some are still being “massaged.” I wrote them over a period of just over two years now, off and on. And no, you can’t see them all. :) As we get closer to a completed campaign, we’ll gladly continue to drip a few select poems to our backers and maybe use a handful more in a promotional capacity… but we don’t just want to give away our hard work. You understand, right?

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
